@bootfruity I don’t know what to tell ya. Fructose is not the first ingredient on my package… hmmmm…. Its the first on the list of ‘other ingredients’. The way I see it, is that we can’t do everything to protect our health that we would like, with money constraints holding us back and other variables… but we do what we can. And it helps! (II hope!) Merry Christmas! (btw!)

I like your Channel concept as a person with little–if any, disposable income, I really do, but I’m also trying to make sense of a contradiction I think you make. You say that you stay away from multivitamins and take what you need individually, but U take Emergen-C to get your B vitamins??? After your video, I went to check my Women’s 1-A Day and was appallled at all the silicone, sugar + TALC in the vitamins! Perhaps $8/250 pills isn’t such a good deal after all. so what’s next?

  7. bootfruity says:

@notaditdot Probably prior. Actaully, my friend, the first ingredient PERIOD is fructose. You can buy this stuff in a whopping 94 pack at Sam’s Club for $15.84 (I bought 2). The FIRST INGREDIENT ON THE LABEL IS FRUCTOSE, THEN Vitamin C, THEN ascorbic acid (made in a lab and structurally different from natural VC. Disappointed at the ingredients, I returned to a clerk who advised that if I had a problem with high sugars and fillers, just don’t buy Food & Drugs from Sam’s (and he doesn’t).

@bootfruity Actually, the first ingredient is Vitamin C and then a huge list of B vitamins. Fructose is first on the list of ‘other ingredients, true. I believe its used as a binding agent only. Its not high fructose corn syrup. I am very familiar with Solgar’s products and they are fantastic! The problem with Ester C is that it doesn’t have the B vitamins in it. Many people, including myself, have a hard time taking B vitamins as a tablet or capsule. That’s why Emergen-C’s so great!

  9. bootfruity says:

Emergen-C is not so wonderful. It’s FIRST ingredient is FRUCTOSE and has tons of ascorbic acid, which isn’t great for an alkaline diet. It does work well with nasty tasting oils (primrose, cod liver, etc), but healthy? Good for you? I switched to ester-c (Solgar’s)

B vitamins are called the Beauty Vitamins. I like to take Super Biotin (part of the B family) for my hair and nails. It really helps. B complex vitamins in pill form can sometimes be constipating or upset your tummy so thats why I take them in liquid form. Vitamin C, E, Beta Carotene, and Selenium are the other must have’s if you want to stay youthful! We need so much more than the FDA says we do, even if you eat a healthy diet. The truth is that no one eats healthy all the time.

Thanks so much for this video, it was very educational. Had no idea that b vitamins were so important. Again, thanks.

if we eat healthily we get all we need.

  17. krzintegraboi says:

if you take vitamins in pill form you won’t get all of the vitamins anyways because of the absorption rate. its like 20-40%.. Also vitamins can get stored in your tissues as toxins if you take to much of it. And NEVER EVER take iron pills that is really dangerous.

If you want to fight the aging process and fight disease, I assure you it is.
The FDA has begun to update it’s RDA amounts but what they put in a multivitamin is far from what you need in a day. The amount of toxins we take in a day has increased dramatically. There are little to no nutrients left in the food we eat. Thats why they have to add them back now. Did you know that pesticides are now part of our food chain? for example.

That cant never be right man… taking all those!
